Multicloud: The Top Conversation Driver!

In the previous blog, I talked about why customers are adding Multicloud as a must-have capability for their choice of a Cloud Networking provider. But there is no reason to just take our word for it. Just consider the following statistic from Gartner.

As seen from the significant ramp up from the 9th position in 2018 to the pole position in 2019, Multicloud was the top conversation driver. The pole position continued in 2020 and I would expect Multicloud to continue to be among the top criteria for customers going forward. Another key driver is Hybrid Cloud that continues to be a critical area of focus for the large deployments. The reason for this interest is simple – you the customers continue to demand a choice.

Even the Cloud vendors have caught on to the customer need and started to offer options to monitor multi-cloud networks from Google Anthos to Microsoft Azure Arc. The Cloud leader AWS has finally acknowledged that customers may desire to run the popular Elastic Compute Services(ECS) tasks in non-AWS environments. In the recent AWS re:Invent, ECS Anywhere and EKS Anywhere were announced.

With Extreme Networks, you have a choice:

  1. Deploy with public-cloud (GCP, Azure or AWS), private-cloud, or local-cloud.
  2. You can move from one to the other at any time – from public to private, from private to local, from Google GCP to Microsoft Azure. You can do this in a hitless manner. The same features, functionalities, user-interface, and license applies.
  3. None of the cloud architecture components are proprietary. This allows us to pick-and-choose the best for you.
  4. If any of the cloud providers are down, we can simply host a backup server with another cloud provider.
