Fans today want strong Wi-Fi, unrestricted use of their mobile devices, and access to value-added digital services. To meet these expectations and to support the critical operations part of game day today, sports teams and their venues require a purpose-built network solution.
To meet these goals the University of Florida teamed up with Extreme Networks to create a winning in-stadium experience at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, or ‘The Swamp,’ and have a strong platform to build upon moving forward. Watch the video below to learn more!
The reason why Wi-Fi is important for us is because it’s important for our fans. And I think at the very basic level, not having Wi-Fi in our stadium, takes something away from our fans that they have in normal daily life. The most exciting thing for me is knowing that there’s so many more technologies available out there that we can implement in our stadium that we don’t have a barrier to because of our investment in Wi-Fi now. Our partnership with Extreme has been phenomenal. They’ve been incredibly attentive, have been communicative, have really focused on what we need – we couldn’t be happier with the partnership. – James Slagle: Assistant Athletic Director for Revenue Generation, University of Florida
